Scaffold Storage
SC01 – 02
Found in many of Hong Kong’s side streets, Scaffold is inspired by the city’s iconic use of bamboo scaffolding in construction.
The design comprises of a main internal carcass, to which an interlocking structure is extended well over the limits of its boundaries, mimicking its namesake.
The innovative structure creates alternative storage pockets with varying visibility. This allows the user to set a hierarchy of how things are displayed—most frequently used at the front, less so towards the sides, and the rarely used hidden away in its drawers.
While scaffolds are usually temporary, this one is built to last.
