Himo is a new take on an American mid-century modern classic archetype.

The table showcases two distinct elements: a transparent glass top, and a flat-pack-friendly, folding wooden frame inspired by the Japanese string-hinge technique—a construction method commonly used in folding screens.

While flat-pack furniture often tries to hide its joinery to mask its nature, Himo instead celebrates it. The transparent glass top showcases its construction, making the product understandable, and allows it to be a key visual feature.
